Our Story

Born from Culture. Built for Community.

ChiroJunky was born from a desire to bring chiropractic to Black communities. To make it familiar, approachable, and woven into our culture of wellness.

Before we had a name, we were an idea sparked by the realization that too many people had never met a Black chiropractor, and too many Black chiropractors were unseen in their own field. The care was there. The excellence was there. But the visibility wasn’t.

CHIROJUNKY

CHIROJUNKY was created to change how our communities see chiropractic. Our NAME came from a belief that once you experience care that truly transforms your life, you can’t go back. Our MISSION has been to promote chiropractic within our communities, not just for back pain, but for life. We exist to help reduce health disparities by increasing access, representation, and understanding of chiropractic care in Black and underserved communities.

This is the good kind of addiction that makes you want to keep showing up for yourself and your community.

Why Chiropractic Matters in Black Communities

Chiropractic offers a natural, preventive approach to care addressing pain, stress, and function before they become chronic conditions that disproportionately impact Black communities.

Prenatal and postpartum chiropractic care helps reduce discomfort, improve balance, and support safer, more comfortable pregnancies, critical in communities facing high maternal mortality rates.

Pediatric chiropractic helps with sleep, digestion, and development, offering children a strong foundation for lifelong wellness.

Chiropractic provides an alternative to opioids and prescriptions that often mask pain instead of addressing its cause.

In 2023, 82% of chiropractors were White, with less than 10% representing all other racial groups combined. This lack of diversity shows why ChiroJunky exists to make chiropractic visible, accessible, and culturally relevant in the communities that need it most.

Culture & Chiropractic

In 2023, we launched Culture & Chiropractic, a celebration where wellness, culture, and community. Chiropractors of every specialty came together alongside doulas, therapists, dentists, physical therapists, and other wellness professionals, to remind the broader health community that collaboration, not competition, is how we close gaps in care.

ChiroJunky ATL

We know what you’re thinking… yes, ChiroJunky ATL did “borrow” its name from ChiroJunky, the national chiropractic collective.

But while we share the same passion for wellness and representation, we’re actually separate and distinct entities.

ChiroJunky ATL is an independently owned chiropractic office based in Atlanta, focused on individualized patient care.
ChiroJunky (The Collective) is a national network and online community that highlights Black chiropractors, promotes education, and connects patients to culturally aligned care.

The doctors featured in the ChiroJunky Collective are not employees or affiliates of ChiroJunky ATL and their practices operate independently.

We just happen to believe in the same mission: making chiropractic care accessible, inclusive, and addictingly good.
